Birding is one of my all-time favorite activities. When I was a kid I was always interested in the names and personalities of the different birds I saw. When my dad bought me a Reader's Digest book on birds, it opened a whole new world. Since I found a partner who shares my passion, I enjoy birding even more. I now have a proper pair of binoculars, my Nikon D5200, and my man with 20/20 vision. My bird list as of 9/7/14 is 133 birds and counting. Most of my birds are from the lists of Alaska, but we are now in Indiana for a year, so a new region with even more birds to check out!!
Reader’s Digest Book of North American Birds
I know most adamant birders swear by Sibley’s, and I absolutely agree. It’s the ultimate birding resource and deserves all our respect. However, I am equally interested in unique facts and stories about birds. If you want just a little bit more, check out Reader’s Digest Book of North American Birds. It’s a great resource with wonderful information about all your birds. Check it out. It’s definitely my favorite! |
